I've worn a lot of flippers in the time I've been swimming. Different materials, brands, shapes and BornToSwim fins are some of the few that have worked for me. When I choose my flippers, I always look to see if they fit around my ankle, don't pinch my instep and especially my heel. And even though I prefer open heel fins, the fins have fit me beautifully in the store.
My biggest fear was the softness of the fins, but after a couple of pools I found that there was definitely nothing to worry about. The fins are really comfortable and I could swim longer series with them. There are no rough ends anywhere on the fins that would grind on your foot. You can use the fins in the pool, but also in open water. And they will definitely be your favorite tool for most workouts.
